Larger screen for iPod

Speculation is rife that the next iPod will feature a larger screen, wireless features of either Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or both, and even an iPod smartphone that would herald Apple’s true entry into the world of mobile communications. But Apple’s secrecy when releasing new products is well known, so it comes as a surprise to read a report that Apple are not going to include Wi-Fi in their next iPod. They didn’t mention Bluetooth, for which there are many cool headsets out today that can handle music and phone calls, so while that is likely, and unconfirmed, Apple did say to the effect that iPods were better for music than video… and then released the hugely successful iPod Video 5th Generation!

So… as always, we don’t really have any idea what Apple will do, and we’ll just have to wait until more speculation hits… or the next iPod is launched! Will it be launched in time for the crucial Christmas shopping season… or will it be delayed until January 2007, for Macworld and as spoiler or sorts to the Windows Vista launch… if it happens on time?!? :-)
