Safer rechargeable batteries?
Aug 28th, 2006 | By Staff Writers | Category: UncategorizedThe MIT’s ‘Technology Review’ website has an interesting article on how battery companies already offer safer lithium-ion batteries for use in notebook computers and other devices such as the Segway and electric cars. The downside? Less battery life, but a much safer battery and one that can handle more recharge cycles, meaning it lasts longer before needing to be replaced with a new battery. But because of the shorter battery life, no computer manufacturers have been keen to use them, although the question is whether this will now chage. See the full article at:
