The original Star Wars Trilogy is coming out soon on DVD - and these original versions feature none of the so-called ‘enhancements’ that found their way into the slightly updated versions of Eps 4, 5 and 6 around the time Ep 1 was coming out.

To celebrate this impending retail launch, there’s an opportunity to win a special model of a Y wing figher, with something known as ‘The Queue’. You can find out more at

http://backwardheroes.com/clients/cimerron/sw_dev/

At the site you’ll be connected with Star Wars fans from all over the World plus you’ll be able to share your Star Wars story with other fans across the galaxy.

According to the press release I received, they say: “How it works is this. Go to the site and join The Queue. You can choose a Star Wars character to hold your place in the queue. Even if you are 1000th place in line, by simply emailing your friends about the queue you can move up in the queue. The more friends you tell, the greater your chance of moving up places in the queue”.

It continues: “If you are the participant at the front of the Queue at 12.01 am the day the Star Wars Episodes 4-6 singles become available, September 13 2006, you can be the lucky winner of a ‘money-can’t-buy’ prize of a scale model of the Y wing fighter, in a case with a custom plaque commemoration. The Queue is your chance to be part of history. For a limited time only, you can own each movie in the Star Wars trilogy individually on DVD and for the first time ever, as a special bonus, each two disc set included the original theatrical versions from 1977,1980, and 1983. You can also download original production notes and check out a library of original images.”

So… it sounds interesting, especially if the chance of winning a pretty cool Star Wars prize appeals to you!
