Never unnecessarily click on a link again
Aug 31st, 2006 | By Staff Writers | Category: Internet, Internet applicationsBrowster is a nifty new browsing tool that allows you to preview links before you actually click on them.

Available as a plugin for both Internet Explorer and Firefox, Browster has been especially designed to work with MySpace, so that when you preview a link to a profile, you’re only shown the key profile information and pictures, and not all the additional guff that tends to clutter up most MySpace profiles.
How Browster works is that when you hover your mouse pointer over a link, a Browster icon appears, and when you “mouse” or move over that icon, the preview appears. On MySpace, Browster is very useful tool particularly if you’re searching or browsing for new friends, since you don’t need to enter into each profile to decide whether you want to learn more about that person.
Interestingly, the MySpace advertisement is displayed in the Browster preview. Browster obviously knows which side its toast is buttered. Browster has been receiving some very good press. Time Magazine described it as “one of the year’s coolest innovations”. The plugin is free and the company promises that it is free of spyware.
