Windows Vista needs security patches

Aug 21st, 2006 | By Staff Writers | Category: Uncategorized

Is Microsoft’s next version of Windows, known as Windows Vista, secure? That’s the promise that Microsoft has been making to us all for quite some time, especially as the launch date draws ever closer. One Microsoft employee even said words to the effect a few months ago that with Vista, the concept of ‘Patch Tuesday’ would be a thing of the past. Larger screen for iPod

Aug 18th, 2006 | By Staff Writers | Category: Products - media players

Speculation is rife that the next iPod will feature a larger screen, wireless features of either Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or both, and even an iPod smartphone that would herald Apple’s true entry into the world of mobile communications. But Apple’s secrecy when releasing new products is well known, so it comes as a surprise to read a report that Apple are not going to include Wi-Fi in their next iPod. They didn’t mention Bluetooth, for which there are many cool headsets out today that can handle music and phone calls, so while that is likely, and unconfirmed, Apple did say to the effect that iPods were better for music than video… and then released the hugely successful iPod Video 5th Generation!
