Canon Australia has announced three new SELPHY compact photo printers, with improvements in usability and image quality.

The new SELPHY ES1 offers improved user-friendliness for printing photos at home by utilising the new ‘Easy Photo Pack’ - an integrated ink and paper cartridge that enables simple setup before printing and more convenient paper replacement.

Kimberley Langton, Assistant Product Manager, Ink Printing, Consumer Imaging Products Group, Canon Australia, said the new model breaks down one of the major barriers of printing photos at home by making the photo printing process easier than ever before.

“With the ES1 and the Easy Photo Pack, users can enjoy simple set-up with split-second cartridge loading. The entire photo printing process is straightforward and trouble-free, with an effortless replacement process when you need to change the cartridge,” said Langton. “Just insert the Easy Photo Pack into the SELPHY ES1 and you’re ready to print.”

Everything you need to print your favourite memories is at your fingertips when using the SELPHY ES1. With a handy 2.5″ LCD screen you can view and edit your images easily. With functions such as “My Colours” you can customise colour preferences within the printer without needing to connect to a PC.

The new SELPHY CP720 and SELPHY CP730 incorporate industry standard PictBridge technology that allows you to print directly from PictBridge compatible digital cameras. Both models also allow you to view, edit and print photos directly from compatible memory cards.

In addition to their compact design, these printers include a retractable USB cable that connects directly to compatible digital cameras. This means no more searching for a cable when you’re in a hurry to print and also easy storage when you’re finished.

Mobile phones users will also love the CP730’s ability to print their favourite images via infrared or optional Bluetooth. The CP730 can also travel with you, with an optional battery pack, available as an accessory.
