The low down on Vista with Paul Thurrott

Dec 19th, 2006 | By Staff Writers | Category: Technology news, Tips and advice, Windows Vista

If you’re interested in reading a very indepth review of Windows Vista and other Microsoft technologies (with occasional Apple and other reviews as well), then you need to know about Paul Thurrott.

His website is full of fabulous information, and lots of reviews, with the specific reviews page here. He’s reviewing Vista in 8 parts, and indeed it is much longer than that, as part 5 of the review has been broken up into around 10 different sections. He’s only mid-way through part 5, with several more sections to come in the weeks ahead.

You’ll also find reviews of upcoming Microsoft products, the latest Microsoft games including Xbox 360 games like Gears of War and Prey (amongst many, many others) and even reviews of devices like the Zune. Given that Paul is a well known and long established Microsoft fanatic, having even authored a series of books on Microsoft products, you’ll even be surprised to discover he has reviewed Linux and a range of Apple products, too.

It’s a wonderfully detailed site, and a rich resource that is regualrly updated. Be sure to add his site to your list of favorites to visit on a regular basis - I know I do!
