Australia claims first Chromebook laptop with Kogan Agora
Google is just weeks away from unleashing its new Chrome OS onto the world, well, the U.S. at least. But Australian manufacturer Kogan Technologies is beating the likes of Samsung and Acer to the punch by releasing its own Chromebook laptop first.

Cisco invests in Soonr for mobile desktop access
In a move toward innovation, Cisco, another telecommunications giant, partnering with Intel, has invested over $9.5 Million USD into a company called Soonr. Soonr offers a way to access your desktop from your mobile phone. Soonr lets you access, restore, edit and back up files fro your mobile phone, and from several other mobile devices like PDAs.

Telstra launches USB modems for Next G wireless
Telstra have finally launched two external USB modems, one designed for mobile use at the same pricing as the PCMCIA solution, and the other a ‘fixed’ wireless USB modem needing an external power source offering cheaper pricing.

Vodafone offers 22 TV channels for mobile users
With Telstra recently launching a range of Foxtel channels on its Next-G handsets, Vodafone has launched an even bigger range of TV channels to watch, with 22 in total. They also have an Australian-first EPG on your phone that shows you what’s on right now. Vodafone have also had to change advertising details for their new 3.5G HSDPA modem thanks to Telstra.
